Do you tip movers? Empty Do you tip movers?

I was hired as a mover for about 8 months and I regularly saw $20 tips. We only moved in town. That is actually harder than the cross-country trips because you don't have much of a break between loading and unloading. I have worked some very hard jobs in my life, but that was the most physically demanding job ever. I think it is a rule that if you hire a mover you have to have a baby grand piano, a hide-a-bed couch, a basement, an upstairs office, and a set of weights equaling around 30,000 pounds. I did like the job however, but don't have any reasons why. But as for your question, yes, it is nice if you tip but you are not required to. Only remember that most movers only get paid for when they are moving. Therefore, they most likely have short 4-6 hour days and don't work everyday, so a tip will sure help them.
