Short term living and storage solutions on the cheap in Dallas areas?

Short term living and storage solutions on the cheap in Dallas areas?
i am trying to find a place that would be cheap to leave my things in and sometimes sleep there, I am staying out of town some of the time with family and some of the time with a gf. Does anyone have suggestions or have found it hard to find a short term solution for cheap. I have thought about a self storage but seems like it be tuff if not illegal
